Red Sandalwood, Karumegangal Kalaigindrana to Koozhangal: Upcoming Tamil releases on OTT

Three films of different genres are lined up for release in October

It looks like the last few days of October will see three films lined up for release on OTT, namely Red Sandalwood, Karumegangal Kalaigindrana and Koozhangal. Here's all you need to know about the three films, which are all set for their digital premiere.

Red Sandalwood

Director Guru Ramanujam's Red Sandalwood, which stars Vetri in the lead, is all set to drop on Aha Tamil on October 20. The plot revolves around sandalwood smuggling and how poor people are trafficked for the task. The star cast includes Vetri, Garuda Ram, MS Bhaskar, Ganesh Venkatram, Diya Mayuri, Vishwanth, Ramachandra Raju, G Marimuthu, Vinod Sagar to name a few. Music is by Sam CS, cinematography by Suresh Bala and editing by Richard Kevin. The film was bankrolled by JN Cinemas.

Karumegangal Kalaigindrana

Karumegangal Kalaigindrana is an emotional family drama, based on a short story titled 'Karumengangal Yen Kalaigindrana?' which was written by Thangar Bachan, who also directed the film. The film revolves around a troubled relationship between a father and son, who have ideological differences, which leads them to different paths of life. The star comprises Bharathiraja, Gautham Menon, Yogi Babu, Aditi Balan to name a few. Karumegangal Kalaigindrana will stream on Simply South from October 19.

Koozhangal

Koozhangal (Pebbles) revolves around a father and son, who are in the lookout for the man's wife, who leaves home after travel. The film features Chellapandi and Karuththadaiyaan.Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Vignesh Kumulai and Jeya Parthipan, and editing by Ganesh Siva.

Koozhangal was selected as India's entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards. The film is directed by PS Vinothraj, and bankrolled by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under the banner of Rowdy Pictures. Koozhangal will make its OTT debut on Sony LIV on October 27.
