Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB) is one filmmaker who is on every actor's wishlist. So, When Richa Chadha got a call asking to work with SLB for the second time in the Netflix web series Heeramandi, she was, as one would expect, thrilled.

We all got our first glimpse of Heeramandi in February. The teaser, which features actors Sonakshi Singh, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Sehgal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh, along with Richa, piqued everyone's interest.

SLB is known to create beautiful worlds, and fans of his work cannot wait to see just what is in store in Heeramandi. But what’s it like behind the scenes on his set?

Speaking to Pinkvilla recently, Richa spoke about her experience working with the maverick filmmaker on his new project.

Calling SLB a "master", Richa said that she had a tough time while shooting for Heeramandi because it is impossible to hide anything from the filmmaker.

Elaborating further, she added, "He will know that even though a shot has been technically canned well, it did not come from the heart. I love working with him because he really pushes me."

The actor said that it is also "terrifying" to work with him because, during tough scenes, she has to get a hold of her emotions and give them her best.

Richa earlier worked with SLB on the 2013 Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.

Meanwhile, Richa revealed recently that she faced discrimination on the set of her 2008 debut film, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye.

Recalling an incident from the shoot, she revealed that one day she was running a high fever and was allowed to rest in the vanity van of a fellow actor. But she was thrown out of the van soon after, along with some of her belongings.
