Additionally, Saali Mohabbat is the first digitally produced film by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra. The story revolves around Smita, portrayed by Apte a homemaker from a small village whose apparently normal existence spirals into a tangled web of adultery, lies, and moral quandaries. Gripping themes of treachery, vengeance, and the fine line between reality and delusion emerge as the plot progresses from a personal drama. By describing her goal for the film as "intimate and unsettling" and by saying that it will capture a "woman's gaze in a world full of hidden fractures," Chopra shed light on her creative process.

"I've always been fascinated by the quiet tensions that exist beneath the surface of relationships—the invisible power struggles, the unspoken expectations, the ways in which love can transform into something darker," said Chopra.
