The collections have been consistent to date, though the occupancy has finally come down a bit in a few areas of the Telugu states.

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam creates a new record

On the 22nd day of its release, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam made Rs 1.5 crore worldwide. With this, the film’s total collections have officially crossed Rs 300 crore. This is no small feat, especially considering that the film was not dubbed into any other language apart from Telugu.

With a total share of Rs 175 crore, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has made three times the profit on the money spent. Dil Raju produced the movie, which was made on a modest budget of Rs 54 crore and proved to be highly profitable for all parties involved. The losses Dil Raju faced with Game Changer were offset by the massive success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

The film became such a hot topic of discussion that the star producer was even raided by Income Tax officials, causing major concern. For Venkatesh, this marks yet another victory, but it is particularly special, as no other senior hero in Telugu cinema has had a Rs 300 crore film to date. This success highlights how much Venkatesh is loved by audiences, especially when he delivers a family drama.

A massive event being planned for Sankranthiki Vasthunnam

Director Anil Ravipudi has shot to mega fame with the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam and holds the record of delivering only super hits in his illustrious career. Bheems Ceciroleo composed the music, and his songs played a crucial role in giving the film a strong start at the box office.

Zee5 has acquired the streaming rights for a massive Rs 30 crore and will make Sankranthiki Vasthunnam available for streaming in the second week of February. A grand event is being planned to wrap up the film’s promotions and celebrate its success, with a star hero set to attend.
