No regional film from the South has ever reached Rs 300 crore without being dubbed into other languages making Sankranthiki Vasthunnam the first to achieve this milestone. This reflects the film’s massive success and the audience's love for it. On its 19th day, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam earned Rs 3 crore worldwide. Trade analysts predict that Sunday’s numbers will be even higher.

With no other major releases in theaters, family audiences are turning up in large numbers to watch the film. The makers, led by producer Dil Raju, have also done a great job of keeping the film in the news, which has contributed to its blockbuster success.

Dil Raju produced Sankranthiki Vasthunnam on a budget of Rs 60 crore and has already made a profit of over Rs 120 crore. What he lost with Ram Charan's Game Changer, he has more than recovered with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

Speaking at the Sankranthiki Vasthunnam distributors' success meet, Dil Raju got a bit emotional and admitted that he prioritized big combinations over strong content and learned a hard lesson from Game Changer’s failure.

Meanwhile, Anil Ravipudi is being hailed as the "Rajamouli of the South" as he has not delivered a single flop in his career. All of his last eight films have been box-office hits, with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam being the biggest of them all.

For Venkatesh, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam marks a major comeback, as it has been quite some time since he delivered such a massive hit. The family audience has loved his fun-filled role, and his on-screen chemistry with Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary has won many hearts. Zee5 has acquired the film’s digital rights, and it is set to premiere on the platform in the second week of February 2025.
