Vada Chennai, one of the popular gangster dramas in Tamil, enjoys a huge fan base. The Vetri Maaran film starring Dhanush in the lead was released in 2018. What stood out in the movie was its engaging screenplay, stunning performances from all actors and background score by Santhosh Narayanan.

Vetri had confirmed earlier that he has plans to do a trilogy and that the film is a part of the three-movie franchise. There have been humongous expectations on Vada Chennai and Kollywood buffs were eagerly waiting for it. However, the filmmaker chose to team up with Dhanush in 2019 for another project, Asuran.

The director last made Viduthalai Part 1 and is busy with the works of Viduthalai Part 2 which is expected to be released later this year. He also has the much-awaited Vaadi Vaasal with Suriya in the pipeline. He clarified sometime ago that Vada Chennai 2 will be made after he completes his ongoing assignments.

Santhosh Narayanan has now made a revelation which has left cinephiles stunned. In an interaction with a YouTube channel, the musician has revealed that Vetri has already made a movie titled Rajan Vagaiyara which is a part of the much-hyped trilogy.

He added that the movie delves into the life of the character Rajan, played by Ameer in Vada Chennai. According to him, the film will touch upon how Rajan became a gangster and how he went on to become the influential person in the universe created by Vetri.
