Rakshit Atluri, who captured audiences' hearts with his stellar performance in Palasa 1978, will be seen next in his most-awaited romantic drama Sasivadane, opposite actress Komalee Prasad. The romantic drama was supposed to hit the screens on April 5, 2025, but was postponed at the last minute due to financial issues.

Sasivadane finally sees a new release date

Now the makers have locked a new release date of Sasivadane, and it will hit the screens on October 10, 2025. Written and directed by Sai Mohan Ubbana, the movie is made on a low budget but has great production values.

Announcing the same, makers wrote “Celebrate the Most Beautiful Godavari Love Story #Sasivadane in theatres on October 10”. Along with the announcement, the makers also unveiled a new poster for the film, featuring Rakshit Atluri and Komalee in a cute poster.

Sasivadane is set against the backdrop of a ‘Godavari love story’. The movie’s promotional campaign had earlier captured the attention of the audience, with the teaser offering a glimpse into the movie's simple yet beautiful storyline. The movie is set against a rural backdrop and has been shot in locations of Konaseema and Amalapuram.

In an earlier interview with OTTplay, the actress revealed the real reason why viewers must watch the love story . “You should watch Sasivadane because it’s a pure Telugu love story set in a Godavari backdrop and is filled with humour. I have had a huge liking for the Godavari slang for many years. You should also watch it because I am a part of it,” the actress revealed.

Apart from the lead cast, the film also features Rangasthalam Mahesh, Sriman, Jabardasth Bobby, Praveen Yandamuri, and Deepak Prince in pivotal roles. The film is bankrolled by Ahiteja Bellamkonda, marking a huge collaboration between SVS Studios and AG Film Company.
