Shah Rukh Khan's recent spotting at Mehboob Studios in Bandra sparked rumors of him conducting a look test for his upcoming project. It was said that the Bollywood superstar collaborated with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar for his next film. However, the speculation seems to be untrue. Truth about Shah Rukh Khan-Shoojit Sircar's collaboration
A Mid-Day report suggests that Shah Rukh Khan shot an advertisement for a famous cookie brand. The ad was shot by director Shoojit Sircar. A picture featuring SRK wearing an apron earlier went viral on social media.
"Shah Rukh’s look was so distinct that people assumed it was a look test. It led to rumours about him fronting Shoojit’s next feature film. But the two actually teamed up for a cookie commercial. The ad has a slice-of-life appeal," a source told the tabloid.
As per the report, SRK was fully involved during the process and discussed minute details with Sircar for the scenes. "He brought his usual charm. The campaign will air in two weeks," the source added. The advertisement's shoot reportedly commenced in the afternoon on February 28 and wrapped up by the night. For those unaware, SRK and Shoojit have known each other since their Delhi days.
Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming films
On the movie front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in filmmaker Siddharth Anand's next, King. It was earlier being directed by Sujoy Ghosh. This project will mark SRK's daughter Suhana Khan's big screen debut. She made her acting debut with Netflix film The Archies in 2023. He is also expected to do a cameo in The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The series will mark his son Aryan Khan's directorial debut. It will soon stream on Netflix.
Having said that, SRK's last theatrical release was Dunki in 2023. He starred alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and others.
