Amid various speculation, it is expected that the director will have two releases in 2024. Going by the current plans, it looks like the scenario of both the much-awaited movies getting released in the same year can't be avoided. He has been filming a few crucial portions of Indian 2 in Taiwan and South Africa recently.

He has now taken to his Twitter page to post a picture of him shaking hands with the Ulaganayagan. Both of them are all smiles, leaving their respective admirers excited. As if this isn't enough, the Sivaji filmmaker has come up with an exclusive update for cinephiles.

He has thanked the Vikram star for the powerful schedule they shot recently. They will be joining hands again in May. Shankar will now be focusing on the climax portions of Game Changer. He tweeted, "Thank you for this power-packed Schedule @ikamalhaasan sir. See you again in May! Will be moving from #Indian2Gamechanger for the climax (sic)."

The director's previous outing was 2.0 which was released in 2018. This is the first time he has been taking a hiatus of more than five years in his career. Indian 2 is currently one of the most anticipated sequels in Kollywood.
