The Vikram Prabhu film Sirai, marked the end of 2025 for Tamil cinema on a good note, thanks to its critically acclaimed reviews that poured in. On the other side, at the box office, the film has made Rs 10.6 crore worldwide in one week, as per Sacnilk. Sirai has made a remarkable growth, given the film has been consistently maintained a Rs 1 crore mark. Given no major Tamil films are scheduled to release until Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi on January 9 and 10, Sirai is expected to run good for a week.

Directed by Suresh Rajakumari in his debut, the film stars Vikram Prabhu and new face LK Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. It revolves around a cop who is on escort service and must produce a young man accused of murder. The film with its realistic making and performances, coupled with detailed writing and screenplay, makes it must watch. Sirai shows the unknown side of the police procedural and highlights how members from the minority community are treated in the eyes of law. Tamizh who has served police department, and made Taanakkaaran, has written the film.

Sirai is currently running in theatres. Its post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by ZEE5, and subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the film soon. An OTT release date of Sirai is yet to be announced. However, it is expected to come out sometime end of January.
