The production house of the film, KJR Studios, today, released a statement about the film. Excerpts from the statement goes like this. "With "Ayalaan" we did not want to compromise on quality, as it will have the highest number of CG shoots for a pan-Indian movie. And hence, we needed the time to achieve perfection. It also gives us immense pleasure to let you know that 'Ayalaan' will be the first full-length live-action film in Indian cinema to have over 4,500 VFX shots with the alien character playing a pivotal role in the movie. At this moment, I would like to thank Phantom FX, the company behind the CG of many Hollywood movies, for the exceptional CG work they are delivering for Ayalaan."

Ayalaan will have music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Ruben. The star cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Isha Koppikhar (marking her comeback in Tamil), Sharad Kelkar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran and Bala Saravanan.

One of the stand-out features of Ayalaan is that the alien in Ayalaan are created entirely through visual effects. This is Sivakarthikeyan's maiden pan-Indian film and the first science fiction comedy. The project is bankrolled by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under KJR Studios.

In the meantime, Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for the release of Maaveeran, in which he plays a cartoonist, whose drawings come true in real life. The makers announced that the film will hit screens on August 11 ahead of the Independence Day holidays.
