Days after Ajay Devgn revealed the release date of his movie Son of Sardaar 2, Mrunal Thakur's first look from the film has been revealed. She is seen in an Indian gown paired with a black jacket. Her character is among the many who have Ajay Devgn's Jaggi at gunpoint. However, while it might appear so, the actress is probably not the female lead in the movie.

Mrunal Thakur not the female lead in Son of Sardaar 2?

Yes, you heard that right. Not Mrunal Thakur but Sardaar Ji 3 actress Neeru Bajwa could end up being the female lead in Son of Sardaar 2. According to reports, Bajwa is playing Ajay Devgn's romantic interest in the movie aka his wife. This means that Mrunal Thakur has a completely different role. If the poster is any hint of it, she simply is a character that holds a massive grudge against Jaggi. Apart from her, Ravi Kishan is in the spotlight while actors like Chunky Pandey, Kubrra Sait, Sanjay Mishra and Vindu Dara Singh are all gathered to point a gun at Jaggi.

Son of Sardaar 2 release date and more

Son of Sardaar 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on July 25. The film is the sequel to the 2012 hit which originally co-starred Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. The latter does return to the franchise but is missing from the recently released poster. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 is likely to follow the theme of action-packed comedy with the flavour of Punjab. While all actors look promising, Neeru Bajwa and Sanjay Dutt's roles being kept under the wraps make the wait for their character reveal much-anticipated too.
