Spirit is one of the most talked-about films in recent times, as star director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has teamed up with superstar Prabhas. The shooting of the film has started in Hyderabad, and scenes featuring Prabhas and a few junior artists are being canned as of now.

Prabhas’ Spirit strikes gold as OTT deal fetches record price

Ever since the film was announced, there has been massive hype around its pre-release business. Bhushan Kumar of T-Series is co-producing the film along with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The latest update is that the digital rights of the film have been locked.

One of the sources close to the unit has revealed to us that the OTT rights have fetched a whopping Rs 150 crore for all its languages of release, which is the highest ever for a Telugu film to date. The source also adds that, although the name of the streaming giant has been kept under wraps, the deal is locked and close to half of the film’s budget has been recovered through these rights.

Tripti Dimri plays the female lead in this film, which has music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar of Animal and Arjun Reddy fame. A chunk of the shoot will also take place in Thailand, and special plans are being made for the same.

Spirit is an action drama and will showcase Prabhas in the role of a cop for the first time in his career. Fans are super excited to see how Sandeep will present Prabhas in such an intense avatar. A massive amount is being spent on the film, which also features Vivek Oberoi in a key role.
