The halfway mark of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season is around the corner and Match 34 sees Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) hosting Delhi Capitals (DC).
Technically, neither team is in danger of elimination and although both teams have played six games, the Sunrisers have only had two wins while the Capitals have only managed one.
Obviously, more setbacks at this point will only make things worse.
Despite Delhi getting fielding penalty and only four fielders were allowed outside the 30-yard circle, Mukesh Kumar made sure to keep his composure.
Equation: 13 runs | 6 balls
And the bowler took his side to victory by 7 runs.
The Capitals teammates run towards Mukesh to give him a group hug for the victory.
Nortje has the last laugh against Klaasen!
The SRH batter was making sure to get runs by hitting the bat for every ball, but Klaasen carves this one over the covers and Aman Khan takes a calm catch at deep cover.
Klaasen c Aman Hakim Khan b Nortje 31(19) [4s-3 6s-1]
Markram looked to work it into the on-side off the back foot.
But the SRH captain only managed to get an inside edge and the ball clatters onto the sticks.
Markram b Axar 3(5)
Abhishek Sharma skips down the track and half-heartedly drives it back at the bowler.
Kuldeep Yadav completes the return catch to his left in his followthrough.

It was a confident appeal and the finger goes up. Tripathi stands and has a look at the umpire, but he knocks there is an edge and starts walking off.
Tripathi c Philip Salt b Ishant 15(21)
Smart bowling from Axar Patel as he understood Mayank Agarwal step out of his crease.
Mayank shimmies down the track and is beaten in the flight as he miscues it and with hardly any power behind it.
Mayank c Aman Hakim Khan b Axar 49(39) [4s-7]
Harry Brook Tried to manufacture a scoop by moving across but the slower leg-cutter saw the top of middle-stump being hit.
Harry Brook b Nortje 7(14)
DC end up scoring just 144 on a good batting wicket.
Not what the side, who is right down at the bottom of the points table needed.
Delhi Daredevils/Capitals have never defended a target of 150 or under across 16 seasons in the history of IPL.
Anrich Nortje and Ripal Patel, both run-out in the final over
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has a good spell of 2 wickets for just 11 runs in his 4 overs.
A terrific throw right on top of the stumps by Washington Sundar and Manish Pandey is gone.
Pandey is a tad slow turning back for the second and a full-length dive is not enough.
Manish Pandey run out (Washington Sundar/Klaasen) 34(27) [4s-2]
Superb yorker and Bhuvneshwar cleans Axar up!
The ball flicks the back boot and then falls on the stumps.
The partnership is broken.
Axar b Bhuvneshwar 34(34) [4s-4]
What a horrendous over for DC!
Aman Hakim Khan comes down the track and tries a highly ambitious slog to leg.
He gets a thick outside-edge and an easy catch for cover.
Aman Hakim Khan c Abhishek Sharma b Washington Sundar 4(2) [4s-1]
Second in the over!
Tossed up on the stumps, Sarfaraz Khan swept and top-edges it.
Bhuvi comes forward to take a simple catch at deep backward square leg.
Sarfaraz Khan c Bhuvneshwar b Washington Sundar 10(9) [6s-1]
Good catch by Harry Brook!
It was a poor delivery and Warner sweeps and does not keep it down.
He finds Brook at deep backward square leg who judges it well and takes a smart catch.
Warner c Harry Brook b Washington Sundar 21(20) [4s-2 6s-1]
A good review by Hyderabad and umpire Jayaraman Madanagopal decision has to be overturned.
The ball pitches in line, on a short of length on middle and beats the inside-edge.
Mitchell Marsh lbw b T Natarajan 25(15) [4s-5]
Philip Salt goes for a golden duck!
It was a lovely outswinger outside off and Salt played a poor shot.
He pushed away from the body with an open face and Klaasen does the rest.
Philip Salt c Klaasen b Bhuvneshwar 0(1)
Delhi Capitals have won the toss and have opted to bat
For DC, Sarfaraz Khan comes in and Ripal Patel is in while Prithvi Shaw misses out.
