The film is partly inspired from the genuine story of Sumathi Valavu, which is based on a regional legend circulating in Trivandrum based on people's real life encounters with an uncanny presence. Vishnu Sasi Shankar directed the movie, which has a story written by Abhilash Pillai. Arjun Ashokan is playing the main character in this movie, with supporting parts from Balu Varghese, Gokul Suresh, Malavika Manoj, Shivada, Nandu, Siddharth Bharathan, Bobby Kurian, and Shravan Mukesh.
