We had earlier reported that actor Suriya will be joining hands with filmmaker Jithu Madhavan for a film tentatively called Suriya 47. The recent update is that actor Nazriya Fahadh has joined the sets of the film, which is currently under production.

Suriya 47: What is the new update?

Actor Suriya’s new film Suriya 47 has welcomed one of its lead actors Nazriya Fahadh to the sets. The latter to took to her Instagram story to share the same, as she was welcomed by a hamper and bouquet of flowers.

It is to be noted that it will be the first time Suriya and Nazriya will be joining hands. While the duo was supposed to share screen space earlier for Sudha Kongara’s film, it was latter dismantled only to resume with Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela and release as Parasakthi. With Suriya 47, the cast also includes Naslen in a prominent role.

What else do we know about Suriya 47?

Suriya 47 will feature the lead actor as a cop, with the film written and directed by Jithu Madhavan who last helmed Aavesham starring Fahadh Faasil. Bankrolled by Suriya himself, Suriya 47 is expected to be a cop drama. The film is currently under production and has music by Sushin Shyam.

What is Suriya’s next film?

Recently the first look poster of actor Suriya’s next film was unveiled. It is called Vishwanath & Sons, and is expected to be a family entertainer. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film will hit theatres in July. Co-starring Mamitha Baiju, Vishwanath & Sons is expected to revolve around a love story with a glaring age-gap. It will release in theatres sometime in July. Meanwhile, Suriya also has fantasy courtroom drama Karuppu with the makers yet to announce release date. Directed by RJ Balaji and featuring Trisha, Suriya will play a lawyer in the film.
