Team Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal unveils Sreesanth's character poster from the rom-com

The makers of Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by Vignesh Shivan had recently announced that the rom-com will hit the screens in April. A final announcement on its release date is expected to happen soon. Its much-awaited teaser will be released on February 11.

The character posters of Nayanthara, Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi were earlier revealed by the team. The actors play Kanmani, Rambo and Khatija respectively in the project which is billed as a triangular love story. Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio has bankrolled the film along with Vignesh Sivan under Rowdy Pictures.

The team has now unveiled cricketer-turned-actor Sreesanth's character poster. He plays Mohammed Mobi in the film. The social media handle of Rowdy Pictures tweeted, "A true champion on the cricket field and surely going to rule the Silverscreen too. Introducing Sreesanth as Mohammed Mobi. Happy Birthday Wishes @sreesanth36 sir (sic)."

Prabhu, Kala, Seema, Redin Kingsley and Lollusabha Maaran among others play important characters in the movie. The makers have released three singles, composed by Anirudh Ravichander from the movie, so far. Music lovers and fans of the composer are eagerly waiting to know if there are more songs to be released from the film. Vignesh has penned the lyrics himself for all the three songs.

Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal marks the third collaboration of Anirudh and Vignesh Shivan after Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (streaming on MX Player, Jio Cinema and Sun NXT) and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). A Sreekar Prasad has edited the project which has SR Kathir and Vijay Kartik Kannan cranking the camera.

The film was initially supposed to release in theatres on December 2021. When the makers were about to announce the release plan in February, the third wave of COVID began and shifted the release plans to April.
