The Telangana government has reportedly given permission for ticket hikes and night shows for Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This has created a new controversy.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu is all set to hit the screens on July 24, 2025, in a record number of screens. Pawan Kalyan, who is the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, has permitted special fan shows across the state of Andhra. When it comes to Telangana, the government had earlier banned special shows after the stampede incident during the release of Allu Arjun's Pushpa, which killed a woman and severely injured her son.

The Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, was so upset that he banned all special shows for upcoming Telugu films. Now, the latest update is that the rules have been changed, and the Telangana government has given permission for special shows starting tomorrow night on July 23, 2025. Ever since this news broke, there has been massive criticism about how the government, which was so strict regarding Allu Arjun’s film, has now approved special shows for Pawan Kalyan’s film.
A section of the media has started trolling the government, stating that since Pawan Kalyan is a big political figure in Andhra Pradesh, he is getting special permission, while others are denied the same benefit.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a massive project that has been in the pipeline for the last three years. A chunk of the budget has already been lost due to delays, and that is why the makers have hiked ticket prices in both Telugu states to recover costs. Special shows will begin from 11 PM onwards, with multiple shows running throughout the night. Tickets are being sold like hotcakes.
While this is good news for fans, top stars from other films are now slamming the Telangana government for alleged favouritism. We need to see what kind of outcome this new rule will bring, as amending the rules for one star and not applying them to others has led to criticism.
Jyothi Krishna has directed Hari Hara Veera Mallu, along with Krish Jagarlamudi. Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead. MM Keeravani, the Oscar Award-winner, has composed the music for this film, which features Bobby Deol as Aurangzeb. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
