Telusu Kada is Siddhu Jonnalagadda's new film that hit the screens on October 17, 2025, as a Diwali special. But sadly, the romantic drama opened with completely mixed reviews all over.

Telusu Kada's occupancy goes down with each passing day

The occupancy has been quite low from day one, and despite the Diwali holidays, the collections have been quite dull. As per the latest update from the tracking portal Sacnilk, Telusu Kada made only Rs 1.7 crore on a key Sunday, which is quite low.

With this, the total collections of the film are Rs 5.7 crore net. Once the weekdays start, the occupancy will go down even further. Telusu Kada marks the directorial debut of Neeraja Kona, and she has taken the basic theme of Salman Khan's Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and made a few changes to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audience.

Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty played the female leads in this film, which dealt with the sensitive subject of surrogacy. The manner in which the film was narrated, with a lack of clarity especially in the second half, did not go well with many.

With Telusu Kada, Siddhu Jonnalagadda scores yet another massive flop. His last film, Jack, was also a big disappointment at the box office. Telusu Kada had great songs by Thaman and amazing visuals, but all this did not help the film much in theatres.

The occupancy is falling with each passing day, and by the looks of it, Telusu Kada will be out on OTT very soon. Netflix has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price. In the days to come, we need to see how much the film will make.
