Leading producer S Sashikanth, known for films like Tamizh Padam and Vikram Vedha, had announced his directorial debut recently. Titled Test, the movie which is based on cricket, has Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth roped in to play lead characters. Needless to say, the cast details have sent film buffs into a tizzy.

Madhavan and Siddharth were earlier seen together in Ayutha Ezhuthu and Rang De Basanti, and film buffs are excited to watch them share screen space after one-and-a-half decades. However, this is the first time Nayanthara will be acting along with the two.

As if this isn't enough, here comes another thrilling news, which is sure to leave music lovers overwhelmed. Popular singer Shakthisree Gopalan is on board to compose music for the project. None other than AR Rahman has announced the news on his Twitter page.

He has also congratulated the singer on her debut as a composer. An excited Shakthisree couldn't keep calm. She has thanked Rahman from her social media page and said that it's a surreal moment for her. She tweeted, "Thrilled & honoured to be a part of #theTEST. Biggest shout out & love to @sash041075 - thank you for roping me in on this journey. Shout out to the team (sic)."

Shakthisree's voice was heard in two films this year, and both of them were under the composition of Rahman. Ninaivirukka from Pathu Thala and Aga Naga from Ponniyin Selvan 2 went on to become favourites of music lovers in 2023.

She also lent her voice for Aaganandhe and Akamalar, the Telugu and Malayalam versions of the hit song from the Mani Ratnam film. Her fans who are yet to come to terms with the surprise are waiting to know what surprise she has in store for them in Test.
