Thaai Kizhavi box office day 4: The Tamil film, Thaai Kizhavi, has been performing well at the ticket window but witnessed a dip on Monday. Headlined by veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, Thaai Kizhavi has crossed Rs 25 crore within 4 days at the box office. This is a significant achievement for the movie, backed by actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan.

Radikaa Sarathkumar leads the 2026 movie Thaai Kizhavi, which was released in theatres on February 27. The movie recorded only Rs 2.75 crore on day 4 at the box office, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. Debutant director Sivakumar Murugesan's film recorded its best day at the box office on Sunday when it made Rs 6.15 crore. So the Monday earnings saw a dip of more than half its earnings. The India net collection of Thaai Kizhavi stands at Rs 16.55 crore.

On the other hand, the makers had put out their figures on Monday, stating that Thaai Kizhavi has grossed Rs 22 crore at the global box office within three days. As per Sacnilk too, the woman-led film has made Rs 25.1 crore at the worldwide box office.

The box office success is an encouraging sign for filmmakers as it proves that there are takers for films led by actresses and without stars.

The Thaai Kizhavi plot revolves around the titular character, Pavunuthaayi, who rules over her household, refusing to give into her sons’ demands for a share in the family property. An elderly yet strong woman, she seeks to enjoy her wealth. However, when she is bedridden, the sons set out to find some valuables that she apparently has hidden.
