The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Thalavara, have released its teaser days before its theatrical debut on August 15. The teaser gives an idea on the character played by Arjun Ashokan, a youngster who is inconfidence due to his vitiligo condition.

The one-minute and forty-one-second movie provides a peek into the life of grocery salesman Jyothish, diagnosed with vitiligo. It also depicts the issues that arise from his budding romance with a Tamil girl. There are also glimpses of his family and friends, who inspire him to shed his timid and insecure attitude. He is obviously having difficulties as a result of past rejections and painful experiences. Overall, the teaser depicts his positive path of self-awareness and how he conquers his fears.

The film's August 15 theatrical release date was confirmed by the makers with a poster recently. As of right now, no other Malayalam movies are slated to be released in theatres on the same day. Prashanth Murali, Sam Mohan, Hareesh Kumar, Sohan Seenulal, Shaju Sreedhar, Vishnu Raghu, Muhammad Rafi, Manoj Moses, Shebin Benson, Ashwath Lal, Ashokan, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Devadarshini Chetan, Sharath Sabha, Aathira Maryam, and Ashokan are also in supporting roles. Revathy Sharma portrays the female lead in this feel-good drama.

The film, directed by Akhil Anilkumar, has been funded by Shebin Backer and Mahesh Narayanan under the banner of Shebin Backer Productions and Moving Narratives. The story was created by the director, who co-wrote the script with Appu Aslam. Electronic Kili is the composer of the movie's soundtrack. Anirudh Aneesh was in charge of the camera work, and Rahul Radhakrishnan is the editor.

On August 1, Arjun Ashokan's most recent movie, Sumathi Valavu, was released. Following its successful run in theatres, the second installment of the horror comedy was also just confirmed. Additionally, he appeared as a guest in Mohanlal's latest box office success, Thudarum which is available for streaming on OTTplay Premium and JioHotstar.
