While talking to Mashable India, Amit Sial spilled the beans on Nagesh Kukunoor's working style. The actor shared how he had to depend on the filmmaker for the case and found him to be calm and composed, who gave his actors a lot of space to participate and explore. "When you’re doing a show like The Hunt, which is based on true events, there are a lot of blanks to fill; your own creative inputs. So, Nagesh would very calmly and intelligently tweak those details; his approach was based in realism and hooking the audience through his own style of direction, something I’ve never experienced with anybody, and he’s brilliant with pointers," the actor shared.
Amit Sial came across a complex scene, which became complex owing to lack of technology. "Due to my absent-mindedness, I said, ‘Can’t they speak on the phone?," the actor said, only to realize that mobile phones were not invented at the time. That made him realize how tough it was for the team to catch the gang that was constantly on the run.
Amit Sial plays D.R. Kaarthikeyan in The Hunt: The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case. The story, like the title suggests, is about the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and the aftermath of the attack. It is the story of how a team got together to catch the culprits in the case. Rajiv Gandhi had died after a suicide bomber pretended to be his fan and wished to shower him with a bouquet. It was in that moment that the bomber, Gandhi, and a lot of people lost their lives.
