Title and First Look of Santhanam’s next film to be unveiled by Kamal Haasan on this date

The first look and title of the upcoming film, starring Santhanam and directed by N Anand, will be unveiled by Kamal Haasan soon

Actor Santhanam, who has been marketed as a popular comedy star of Tamil cinema has been lately starring in lead roles, showcasing his acting prowess. Although the actor's last lead role in Vadakkupatti Ramasamy failed to impress the audience, he has already begun working on his next project. The Tamil actor will be next seen in director N Anand’s upcoming film, which is produced by Gopuram Films.

The makers of the film recently took to their social media pages to announce that the first-look poster and title of the film will be unveiled by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan tomorrow (February 28). “The Pride of Indian Cinema #UlagaNayagan @ikamalhaasan will release the Title & First Look of @gopuramfilms #ProdNo5 Tomorrow(28th Feb) at 10:30AM,” the makers wrote on their pages.

More about Santhanam’s film

The upcoming film, headlined by Santhanam, is directed by N Anand who is popularly known for his films such as India Pakistan (2015), which starred Vijay Antony in the lead. The upcoming Santhanam film, which is tentatively titled Prod No 5, is produced by Sushmita Anbuchezhian under Gopuram Films. The film marks the first collaboration between Santhanam and director Anand. Apart from the lead actor, the movie also stars Priyalaya, Thambi Ramaiah, Munishkanth, Vivek Prasanna, Manobala, and Bala Saravana among others. The movie, which is currently in the production stage, has D Imman scoring the music.

Earlier, the Tamil comic actor had shared a snap of himself and the director in the dubbing studio, sharing the update that he had begun dubbing for the yet-to-be-titled film.

Santhanam’s last outing

Meanwhile, Santhanam’s last film Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, directed by Karthik Yogi, received mixed reviews from the audience and critics, alike. The film, which is currently running in theatres, will soon have its OTT premiere.

Interestingly, most of Santhanam’s recent films, including 80s Buildup and Kick, have failed to make a mark at the box office. Fans are hoping that the actor makes wise choices when it comes to script selection and makes a promising comeback.
