Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is a 2025 Telugu action-comedy drama helmed by filmmaker Anil Ravipudi. Led by Venkatesh Daggubati, the actor plays a retired encounter specialist trying to enjoy a quiet life with his wife. However, his peaceful routine is disrupted when his former girlfriend, returns seeking his expertise to crack a high-profile kidnapping case involving a wealthy businessman. While he does reluctantly step back into action, complications arise when his wife, suspicious of his past equation with ex-flame, insists on joining the mission. The film also stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Choudhary as female leads. A blend of family drama, comedy, and action, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam became a blockbuster drama.

Kudumbasthan is a Tamil film starring Manikandan in the lead role and directed by debutant Rajeshwar Kalisamy. Identity is a Malayalam crime drama helmed by duo Akhil Paul and Anas Khan. To translate her memory into a visual cue, a sketch artist with a past is hired. As the trip; witness, cop, and artist travel together, Identity explores memory, trauma, and perception.

Mrs
Mrs is a Hindi drama film and a remake of critically acclaimed Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen. The Hindi version stars Sanya Malhotra in the lead role and essays the ordeal of a newly-married woman who has to not only take up all the domestic responsibilities of her in-laws’ house but also navigate through the regressive, patriarchal nature of the household. The cast includes Nishant Dahiya, Kanwalijit Singh, Aparna Ghoshal, Nitya Moyal and others. Mrs is directed by Arati Kadav.

Agnyathavasi is a 2025 Kannada crime drama written by Krishna Raj and directed by Janardhan Chikkanna. Maaman is a Tamil family drama directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj. The film is set against rural backdrop and features Soori, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Swasika and Rajkiran, among others. The story follows a kind-hearted man who shares an unusually strong bond with his nephew, having raised him like his own son. However, troubles begin with he gets married, leaving no room for his wife to be with him, given his nephew’s deep attachment strains their marital relationship. The film explores themes of boundaries, affection and sacrifice. Despite mixed critical reception, Maaman fared well at the box office and appealed to rural audience.

Janaki V v/s State Of Kerala is a 2025 Malayalam courtroom thriller drama with Anupama Parameswaran and Suresh Gopi headlining it. Directed by Pravin Narayanan, the film revolves around the titular character and her legal fight for justice after being subjected to sexual assault. Janaki V v/s State Of Kerala talks about the great lengths the woman has to go to protect herself, with Suresh Gopi playing the lawyer who defends the accused.
