Tovino Thomas, Nazriya to team up for Muhsin Parari's directorial

Tovino Thomas is winning much love for his short but fun appearance in Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra. But the Malayalam actor is also busy with his own projects, where he plays the lead role. In an exciting upcoming collaboration, it has been revealed that Tovino Thomas would be teaming up with Nazriya Nazim for a film, which would be helmed by filmmaker Muhsin Parari. This would mark the first collaboration between Tovino and Nazriya.

Tovino Thomas’ upcoming film with Nazriya

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who last played the lead role in Narivetta joins hands with writer-filmmaker Muhsin Parari, it was announced recently. Popular actress Nazriya Nazim, whose recent release was the 2024 hit Sookshmadarshini, plays the female lead in the upcoming film. Muhsin Parari is also co-writing the script with another writer-filmmaker Zakariya, who is best known for directing the heartwarming Sudani From Nigeria, which had Soubin Shahir in the lead. More details about the Tovino-Nazriya film, including the title, are not known.

Tovino-Muhsin Parari collaboration not Thantha Vibe Hybrid?

Earlier, Tovino Thomas officially announced an upcoming collaboration with Muhsin Parari. The first-look poster and the title Thantha Vibe Hybrid were revealed in January 2025. However, there were no further updates about the film, including its female lead.

It is not known if the upcoming Tovino-Muhsin project is the same as Thantha Vibe Hybrid as the production house of the latter had reportedly changed.

On the other hand, Muhsin made his directorial debut with KL 10 Patthu, which released in 2015. The upcoming film would be his second directorial, meaning that he would be donning the director’s hat after 10 years. Both Muhsin and Zakariya had earlier collaborated as writers on filmmaker Aashiq Abu’s Virus, which had an ensemble cast, including Tovino Thomas. It would be interesting to see what the trio would whip up with the new film, and Nazriya’s addition only adds to the excitement.
