After proving his mettle in direction and then acting, Basil Joseph recently announced that he has ventured into film production as well. The news was received with much enthusiasm by his colleagues, including frequent collaborators Tovino Thomas and Vineeth Sreenivasan. Now reports claim that the trio of Basil, Tovino and Vineeth are set to star in a film which will also be backed by the Ponman star as well.

Basil Joseph is all set to back an upcoming Malayalam film, which will also see Tovino Thomas and actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan. Online trackers are saying that the yet-to-be-announced project would be a campus-based story with the trio appearing on screen as collegemates.

The film would be helmed by Arun Anirudhan, who co-scripted Tovino Thomas-starrer Minnal Murali, which was directed by Basil Joseph. The upcoming film would mark the directorial debut of Arun, who also co-wrote Padayottam, starring Biju Menon. However, these reports have not been confirmed officially.

An official announcement about the film is likely in the last week of October with the team releasing the title teaser. The film is likely to go into production next year.
