Telugu star Pawan Kalyan is back with another entertainer, Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The makers have dropped the trailer from the film, directed by Harish Shankar, and it promises that another mass entertainer is on the cards. Fans of the Power Star seem to be happy with the glimpse, with many stating that it reminded them of the 2025 blockbuster film They Call Him OG.

The trailer of Ustaad Bhagat Singh was unveiled on March 14 night that showed Power Star Pawan Kalyan back in the titular role. He is an IPS officer with the Telangana State Police, and gives a low-down on what violence means and why it is necessary. The senior cop brandishes various weapons from machetes to guns, and takes down villains. Sreeleela too makes an appearance, swooning over the cop. Raashii Khanna plays another key role but looks to me in a more stern avatar.

The trailer also has some light moments as the star shakes a leg and we get some fanboy moments as a character says it has been long since one saw his dance moves. With some slick action and peppy dance moves, the trailer promises that Ustaad Bhagat Singh to be a wholesome entertainer.

How are fans reacting to Ustaad Bhagat Singh

The comments on the Ustaad Bhagat Singh trailer on YouTube are mostly positive. Apart from Pawan Kalyan's stylish avatar, Thaman's music also got a thumbs up. Many fans particularly pointed out the portion at the 1.30 minute of the trailer, when he goes all guns blazing, claiming that it gives them vibes of the movie They Call Him OG or just OG. The 2025 period gangster action film starred Pawan Kalyan in the lead role and was a winner at the box office. It was directed by Sujeeth.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is set to release in theatres on March 19, setting up a direct clash with the highly-anticipated film Dhurandhar 2. Comments on Reddit subs were more critical of the Telugu film glimpse, saying that it looks outdated. One comment read, “Amazed at it's audacity to clash with Dhurandhar 2.”
