Amazon Prime Video's announcement of their next web series in Tamil, Vadhandhi, had left cinephiles excited. It marks SJ Suryah's OTT debut and Pushkar Gayatri duo's second collaboration with the digital giant. The filmmakers have produced the project which has been helmed by Andrew Louis.

The makers had unveiled the trailer of the series which will drop on the OTT platform on December 2. It looks like several filmmakers from Kollywood have been impressed with the suspense-filled trailer of the crime thriller which stars a bevy of talented actors. They took to their social media pages to heap praise on the promo video.

Venkat Prabhu, who presented SJ Suryah as one of the impressive antagonists in recent times in Maanaadu, said he is looking forward to the series and noted that the latter's portrayal as a cop in Vadhandhi is different from the manner in which he essayed a crooked police officer's role in Maanaadu.

Atlee, who is set to make his Bollywood debut with SRK's Jawan, found the trailer and Suryah's character interesting. He also added that he is looking forward to the project. Karthik Subbaraj felt that the trailer was amazing and said that he can't wait to watch the series.

Dhanush is another Tamil celeb who wished success to Suryah while Vishal said that going by the trailer, Vadhandhi looks like an intriguing, edge-of-the-seat thriller. Selvaraghavan, who directed Nenjam Marappathillai with Suryah as the lead last year, said he found the trailer promising.

Aishwarya Rajesh and Sriya Reddy, who played prominent roles in Pushkar Gayatri's Suzhal, Amazon Prime Video's first Tamil series which was dropped earlier this year, too, had only good things to talk about the trailer of the filmmakers' next OTT project.
