The movie's April 2026 theatrical release date has been confirmed with this latest poster. The creators are yet to confirm whether or not it would be released in Vishu, though. At the same time, no other Malayalam films have declared their theatrical release. But over the Vishu festival vacations, additional prominent movie announcements are anticipated. Since the director's previous film, Hunt, starring Bhavana, received mixed reviews in theatres, it has been anticipated that Varavu will give him a box office success after a hiatus.

As the protagonist in the previous poster, Joju is shown in a rebellious mood, reminiscent of his roles in earlier films like Pani and Antony. The movie's tagline, "Revenge is not a dirty business," is also disclosed, suggesting that the actor will play the lead in a fast-paced action thriller helmed by renowned director Shaji Kailas. According to sources, the main character of this project, which is set in Kerala's highlands, is Polachan, commonly known as Poly, who amassed wealth over years of hard work. The primary theme of the film is how he must return to his hometown in order to exact revenge for long-standing grievances.

Murali Gopy, Arjun Ashokan, Deepak Paramabol, Sukanya, Baburaj, Vincy Aloshious, Saniya Iyappan, Ashwin Kumar, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Biju Pappan, Bobby Kurian, Azees Nedumangad, Sreejith Ravi, Kottayam Ramesh, Balaji Sharma, Chali Pala, and Radhika Radhakrishnan all have supporting parts in this movie. The film's script was written by A K Sajan. In addition, he is credited with authoring the screenplays for a few more successful films directed by Shaji Kailas, including Chinthamani Kolacase and Red Chillies.
