Vijay's Varisu is one among the two highly-anticipated Tamil outings tomorrow. The film directed by Vamshi Paidipally will have a huge release across the world. Some of the movie's songs have become instant chartbusters, and fans of the star are eagerly awaiting to watch their matinee idol on the big screen.

Touted to be a family drama, the project produced by Dil Raju will begin its screening in different locations in the country from as early as 4 am. Many theatres in Tamil Nadu and Kerala have already registered huge occupancy, and the trade is awaiting the box office numbers.

However, the first shows of the movie are happening outside India. According to trustable sources, Varisu will begin in Sri Lanka and UAE at 12 am (IST) on January 11, four hours earlier than the huge number of shows charted in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

It looks like the reviews of the film from overseas audiences will be out before the shows commence in Tamil Nadu. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed as the movie is set for the biggest clash in Kollywood this decade. The Telugu version of the film, Vaarasudu, will hit the screens on January 14.

Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead in Varisu which has Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Jayasudha and Prakash Raj among others essaying key roles in it. Thaman's background score is expected to be one of the highlights of the film which will be presented by Seven Screen Studio across Tamil Nadu.

Amazon Prime Video has bagged the film's digital rights a while ago; its OTT premiere is likely to happen in the second week of February.
