The Tholi Prema actor took to social media to announce that his wife, actress Lavanya Tripathi, is expecting their first child. “Life’s most beautiful role yet, coming soon,” Varun posted online.

Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi tied the knot on November 1, 2025, in Italy after dating for over six years. Lavanya continued her acting career post-marriage and appeared in shows like Puli Meka and Miss Perfect. She is currently wrapping up her new film Sathi Leelavathi, with just a week of shooting left. Lavanya is expected to return to the sets soon.

Meanwhile, Varun Tej has signed a new film with director Virinchi Varma, in which he will be seen in a fun role for the first time. With back-to-back flops behind him, he is in need of a box office hit to bounce back.

The news of the pregnancy has brought joy to the entire Konidela family. Sources say that Varun’s uncle, megastar Chiranjeevi, was ecstatic upon hearing the news. Varun is also the nephew of Pawan Kalyan and the son of Nagababu, Chiranjeevi’s younger brother.
