Leo is arguably the most-awaited Kollywood film this year. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, starring Vijay in the lead, is hitting the screens on October 19 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages. Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Menon and Mysskin among others essay crucial characters in the movie which is billed as a gangster drama.

Amid reports of the movie being an adaptation of A History of Violence and part of the universe created by Lokesh with his previous outing Vikram, fans are eagerly looking forward to the next update on the project.

Director Venkat Prabhu has now said that Leo could be the next big thing in Tamil, thanks to the mammoth expectations the movie carries among several film buffs. He was talking to the press during the media interaction of Custody, his latest film which is releasing on May 12.

He mentioned that the term "pan India" became popular after the huge success of Baahubali because of the box office numbers it earned across the country. Leo, he thinks, is one movie from Tamil, which could create a similar magic if everything goes well.

"I'm really looking forward to Leo. It has a lot of actors and Lokesh enjoys a huge following now. He has created a universe and I hope it works like the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Tamil with Leo," he added. Cinephiles are eager to know if characters of Kamal Haasan, Karthi and Suriya which Lokesh created with his previous movies would feature in Leo.
