Venkat Prabhu to depart from Yuvan Shankar Raja music; Anirudh Ravichander for Sivakarthikeyan film

Venkat Prabhu revealed that he will be collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan for his next film, which will go on floors in October. Meanwhile, the actor's Madharaasi releases on September 5

We had earlier reported that actor Sivakarthikeyan who made a cameo appearance in filmmaker Venkat Prabhu’s The GOAT starring Vijay, will be collaborating with the director for a full-fledged film. While an official announcement is yet to be made, Venkat Prabhu had recently confirmed the news. It looks like Venkat Prabhu will be making a decision for the first time by skipping his regular music composer and instead opting for another.

Sivakarthikeyan and Venkat Prabhu film to not have Yuvan’s music

Ever since his debut with Chennai 600028, director Venkat Prabhu has worked with his regular cast and crew. It is also given that a Venkat Prabhu film will always have music by his cousin and musician Yuvan Shankar Raja. The tradition had continued until his recent film The Goat. But it looks like Venkat Prabhu will be going with a new collaboration for his next film featuring Sivakarthikeyan.

As per reports, Venkat Prabhu and Sivakarthikeyan film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander. This means it will mark the first time the director and composer are collaborating. However, Anirudh and Sivakarthikeyan go a long way back, as they have teamed up for many blockbusters like Don, Doctor and Ethir Neechal. Venkat Prabhu recently confirmed that his next is with Sivakarthikeyan at a film event held. The shooting will begin in October, he had further added. An official announcement regarding the project is yet to be made.

Sivakarthikeyan’s next is Madharaasi

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan’s next release is Madharaasi which will release on September 5 in theatres. The film is touted to be an action thriller and is directed by AR Murugadoss. Madharaasi also features Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammal, Biju Menon, Vikranth and others. Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Madharaasi which has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Sivakarthikeyan also has Parasakthi with Sudha Kongara, co-starring Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa and Sreeleela. The film is yet to get release date.
