Actor Vijay Sethupathi, whose recent film Thalaivan Thalaivii is currently running in theatres, has a web series in the making with filmmaker Manikandan. The series is set to premiere on JioHotstar. The latest update is that the dubbing for the series has commenced, the makers announced on Monday.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi has begin dubbing for his new web series, which is helmed by director Manikandan. The makers gave the update, while much about the series have been kept under wraps. While the series will mark the OTT debut of Manikandan, who has made critically acclaimed film Kaaka Muttai. However, Vijay Sethupathi has already starred in web series Farzi.

The upcoming web series will mark the third collaboration after the films Kadaisi Vivasayi and Aandavan Kattalai. The web series is yet to get a title, information and cast and crew. However, what we know now is that the series will stream on JioHotstar and soon on OTTplay Premium.

Vijay Sethupathi and Manikandan have worked in two films so far. While Manikandan has limited filmography, each of his films have stood apart and received critical acclaim. Vijay Sethupathi and Manikandan worked in in the 2016 Aandavan Kattalai, a satirical comedy drama featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Ritika Singh in the lead roles with Pooja Devariya, Nassar and Yogi Babu among others. The film revolves around a naive man's struggle to acquire documents for his travel to London. The film is available on SunNXT.

The duo later collaborated in the 2022 film Kadaisi Vivasaayi. The film stars Nallandi as an old farmer, with Vijay Sethupathi and Yogi Babu playing supporting roles. Even as the film won critically acclaim and won the Best Feature Film In Tamil, and Special Mention for actor Nallandi at the 69th National Film Award, it was a box office failure. Both the films are available on OTTplay Premium.
