Aakhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor might be in trouble. The producers of the film are now in legal trouble since ex-CM's actress-daughter has accused them of duping her of Rs. 4 crore. Ex-CM's actress-daughter files case against Aakhon Ki Gustaakhiyan producers

Former Union Minister of Uttarakhand Ramesh Nishank's daughter Aarushu Nishank, who is an actress by profession, has registered a complaint against the makers of Aakhon Ki Gustaakhiyan over financial fraud. She alleges that the producer couple Mansi-Varun Bagla offered her a role in the film is exchange of money. While she arranged for most of the sum discussed, she did not bag any role in the movie.

The original deal between Aarushi Nishank and Aakhon Ki Gustaakhiyan producers, and where they stand now

The original deal between Aarushi and the producers was that she invest Rs. 5 crore in the project in return for a role in the film and 20 percent share of the profits (approximately Rs. 15 crore). The producers further signed an MoU with her, which claimed that she would get a full refund if dissatisfied with the role offered. Thus, she transferred Rs. 2 crore initially followed by Rs. 2 crore at a later stage.

After investing Rs. 4 crore in the project, Aarushi waited for a response but got none. She accuses them of not providing a refund as promised and casting another actress in her place.

More claims from Aarushi Nishank

Aarushi further claims that the makers retorted to death threats and warned her of legal actions if she pursued the matter further. This includes a defamation lawsuit. The actress accused the makers of retorting to caste-based discrimination and body-shaming. Aarushi has filed a complaint under the IT Act. The producer-duo is yet to respond to her claims.
