With the advent of OTT platforms, there are many unsung heroes who have found a platform for their talent. Well… if we may correct that sentence… there are many unsung heroes and ‘heroines’ who seemed to have found a platform to exhibit their talent. One such person in the inimitable Sima Taparia, who found her ‘digitally true calling’ in ‘Indian Matchmaking’ on Netflix, a show that not just ‘evolutionised’, but also revolutionised the way one looks at the concept of matchmaking. With her newfound (overnight) success, Sima Taparia became a household name… not just in India, but also on foreign shores as well.

Well, not the one to sit on her laurels, the ‘host with the most’ Sima Taparia has now gone ahead and done the unthinkable. She has now released a music video! The said music video, which has been aptly titled, ‘Shadi Ki Tayaree Hai’ by Sima Taparia, the video stars … hold your breath… none other than Sima Taparia and her husband Anup Taparia! Well … the lady just does not stop at that. Sima Taparia has also sung the track herself alongwith her husband Anup Taparia.

When the said song was being launched, Sima Taparia spoke to a gathering of hundreds of people at the prestigious Yale University, where she spoke about her music video. Speaking about the same, Sima said that when her show ‘Indian Matchmaking’ became a hit, her voice had also became popular. She added that, her voice has now become her asset. Speaking bout her pillar of strength her husband Anup Taparia, Sima said that, when she expressed her desire to sing a song, he, like always, encouraged her to do so. Post that, they got a musician who penned the track and composed the music, while she sang it. The whole process, she said, took about a year or so for them to get the finished product.
