But during one throwback interview that she gave around the time of the release of her 2021 Telugu period romantic film Shyam Singha Roy, which also stars Nani and Krithi Shetty, Sai Pallavi said that she cried because she badly needed a break.

During the interview, Sai Pallavi was asked if there was ever a day when she felt like she just didn't want to go to a shoot and just lay in bed instead.

The actor replied, "Yes, during the shoot of Shyam Singha Roy. There were several night shoots for that film, and I can't do night shoots because I don't sleep during the day. So, imagine me being up at night, and then during the day, and then up all night again shooting for the film."

Explaining further, Sai Pallavi added, "This went on for around 30 days. I was simultaneously shooting for Gargi and Love Story. So, at one point, I remember crying and thinking that I love acting and that I couldn't believe that I wanted a day off. But I never told anyone this."

Looking at her frazzled state, it was Sai Pallavi's sister who took the initiative. "My sister went and told the producer that I was crying because I wanted a day off. He felt so bad," she said.

"Most of the people I work with love me; they think I'm a little child, so they think that I am comfortable, but I am good at covering up whatever I may be feeling and making others think that I am having a good time on set. When they got to know how tired I was, they immediately gave me 10 days off," the actor added.
