Sushant Singh Rajput and Karan Veer Mehra's roles in Pavitra Rishta

Pavitra Rishta marked Sushant's debut TV show and debut into acting. He was always remembered as his character Manav, even as he worked in Bollywood movies right after his TV stint.

Karan entered the show in a different timeline. He joined in the final year (2013-2014), and played Ankita Karmarkar (Ankita Lokhande)'s husband. By that time, Lokhande's Archana found her husband in Hiten Tejwani's Manav (since Sushant was associated with the TV show from 2009-2011 and then kickstarted his Bollywood career with Kai Po Che). Nonetheless, Sushant did visit Pavitra Rishta's sets because not only was he thankful for the show but was also dating Lokhande at that point. That is how SSR and Karan Veer met and bonded on the sets.
