Actor Tiny Tom is facing backlash for his remarks about Malayalam's evergreen actor Prem Nazir. He has also made a public apology recently in this regard. OTTplay will be fully looking into this freshly ignited controversy in the industry.

What was Tiny Tom's statement on Prem Nazir?

The dispute started when Tiny Tom purportedly said that Prem Nazir would wear makeup every day and go to the houses of other actors such as Adoor Bhasi and Bahadur. Tiny mentioned that these visits were to express his sorrow over his career taking a turn for the worse. Tiny has received harsh criticism for this from prominent figures in the film industry. 

But according to the actor, Maniyanpillai Raju told him this. Raju, meantime, harshly reacted to this revelation by criticising Tiny Tom for fabricating lies. He straight up denied ever mentioning Prem Nazir in any way to Tiny. He expressed his surprise at learning that such statements were being circulated in the media using his name.

"I admire Nazir and collaborated with him on ten to fifteen movies," he said. He claimed that despite never having met the renowned actor, Tiny talked about his personal life. Maniyanpillai Raju continued by saying that the actor frequently made rash remarks, and he is crazy. Maniyanpillai Raju urged him to make a public apology on this controversy. 

Tiny Tom's apology on Prem Nazir statement

The actor recently issued a public apology in response to the criticism he received for his remark on Prem Nazir. In an apology video posted on his Facebook page, he clarified that he was merely quoting a senior actor's revelation. He stated that he was one among the hundreds of people who admired Prem Nazir and that he had no desire to dishonour the legendary actor. Tiny added that the colleague who told him the story is now refuting it. "I am prepared to apologise if I have committed a mistake. In the video, he declared, "I am also ready to fall at Prem Nazir's feet."
