Director-turned-actor Pradeep Ranganathan is basking in the success of his latest film, Dude. The romantic entertainer, which has emerged as the Diwali winner of Tamil cinema, this year. Pradeep, who is currently touring to promote Dude, has been acting in entertainers so far, namely Love Today and Dragon. Both these films and Dude are jovial, commercial entertainers. After the blockbuster success of Dragon earlier this year, Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest film, Dude, has once again been making some noise at the box office for all the right reasons. The romantic entertainer, co-starring Mamitha Baiju, has become a Diwali winner by collecting over Rs 80 crore worldwide.

At a press meet in Hyderabad, Pradeep was asked, "You do a lot of youthful, love stories. But can we expect something like Vada Chennai or Asuran which is mass and action oriented?” To this, Pradeep Ranganathan gave a short and crisp reply, “Coming soon”, as he was full of smiles. The actor-filmmaker did not share much about the project, but one can potentially deduce that what he is writing next, a sci-fi story, to be of bloodbath and gory with action. Not a lot about that project is out in the open, given Pradeep is concentrating on his next film, LIK, which is due to release in December.
