The 2025 Malayalam film Written and Directed by God has started streaming online, almost eight months after its theatrical release. Starring Saiju Kurup and Sunny Wayne, the film has dropped online on Manorama Max.

Where to watch Written and Directed by God

Helmed by filmmaker Febi George, the movie Written and Directed by God had released in theatres on June 5, 2025. The film, which blends fantasy and drama elements, failed to evoke much interest among viewers and a lacklustre run at the box office. There was no word on the film’s digital premiere until this week. Manorama Max earlier this week announced that it has acquired the streaming rights of the Saiju Kurup movie. Written and Directed by God started streaming on Manorama Max on March 20, 2026. The Malayalam film is only available in the original language with English subtitles.

No other Malayalam film has made its digital debut this week. But a Malayalam series, titled Kasaragod Embassy dropped on Zee5 this Friday.

What is Written and Directed by God movie about

The film stars Saiju Kurup as an aspiring filmmaker, Jijo, who is struggling to realise his dream. He faces opposition from various quarters, even from his wife. Amid this, Jijo has a divine encounter with the Almighty seeking his help. Penned by Jomon John, Linto Devasia, and Roshan Varghese Mathew, the film tracks how his life changes after his meeting with the divine.

Sunny Wayne appears as the divine power in the movie, which also features Aparna Das, Dinesh Prabhakar, Bibin George and Neena Kurup. The film also has music by Shaan Rahman.

On the other hand, Saiju Kurup and Sunny Wayne were recently seen in the latest Aadu 3 Part 1 movie, which released in theatres on March 19. The Jayasurya-led movie marks the third installment in the popular franchise.

Another upcoming release of Saiju Kurup is the movie titled Mohiniyattam, sequel to his 2024 popular movie Bharathanatyam.
