XG, the South Korean-based Japanese girl group, has reached another milestone. Their hit track LEFT RIGHT has been dominating the Mediabase Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart for 10 consecutive weeks.

This is quite the feat for the girl gang, since it is a record for any Japanese female artist or group.

LEFT RIGHT has been featured prominently on global playlists across music streaming platforms. The song's appeal seems to have resonated with American radio DJs, promoting its popularity within the United States.

We had reported earlier in the week that the remix of LEFT RIGHT was unveiled during a surprise performance by Jackson Wang and Ciara at Coachella 2023. The reimagined rendition, titled LEFT RIGHT REMIXX (FEAT. CIARA X JACKSON WANG // PROD BY JAKOPS), was released on May 5, further amplifying the buzz surrounding the group and their chart-topping hit.

Apart from their songs, XG recently released the second episode of their documentary series, XTRA XTRA, which chronicles the arduous journey leading up to their highly anticipated debut.

In the recently aired episode, XTRA XTRA EP X1, viewers get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the dedicated studio of XGALX, where 21 aspiring trainees embark on their intensive training.

The narrative then transitions to South Korea, where these aspiring talents face gruelling challenges, trials, and intense competition, highlighting the rigorous survival process endured by XG's members.

What’s more, XG is all set for its first-ever live performance in Japan this weekend at KCON 2023 JAPAN. The show is recognised as one of the largest festivals celebrating Korean culture.

XG is a seven-member hip-hop and R&B girls group consisting of JURIN, CHISA, HARVEY, HINATA, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA. The group's name, "XG", stands for "Xtraordinary Girls".
