Youth, the 2026 coming-of-age drama has been making waves at the box office and has already recovered its budget and currently in its profit zone. As per the latest collection, Youth boasts Rs 13.76 crore at the box office in total.

Youth box office day 3: Is Ken Karunaas film into safe zone?

With 2026 witnessing the success of light-hearted films like Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, With Love and Thaai Kizhavi, the latest to join the list is Youth. Written, directed and starring Ken Karunaas, the coming-of-age drama is currently running in theatres successfully.

According to the Sacnilk report, Youth has made a gross collection of Rs 13.76 crore so far in three days. The film saw a spike in numbers on first Saturday (March 21), making Rs 4.85 crore. Not only did the film recovered its speculated budget of Rs 8 crore, but also surpassed the lifetime earnings of Karthi-starrer Vaa Vaathiyaar, which had grossed only Rs 11 crore in total. While Youth has long way to go to beat films like With Love and Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, it is currently the fifth highest grosser this year in Tamil.

With the weekend yet to finish, Youth is expected to witness a good footfall on Sunday, and has well capitalised the Eid weekend, and taken up screens that were first allocated for Dhurandhar Tamil shows after they were cancelled.

What is Youth about?

Marking his directorial debut with Youth, Ken Karunaas has also performed the lead role, Praveen, a 15-year-old school boy whose only ambition in life is to find his true love. His life crosses paths with three girls, who teach him more about life. The film debuted to decent reviews, with the cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Devadarshini, Meenakshi Dinesh, Anishma Anilkumar, Nalini and others. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the coming-of-age story and will premiere it sometime in April. GV Prakash has scored music for Youth.
