Four More Shots Please! Season 4 offers closure for the quartet amidst messy romances and career shifts. Despite a rushed, repetitive plot, it ends with a celebration of growth and sisterhood.

Four More Shots Please Season 3
Season four of Four More Shots Please! takes place where the "Flawsome" quartet—Damini, Anjana, Umang, and Siddhi—go back for one last dose of unadulterated mayhem and emotional development. With a high-stakes "mother of all pacts" to face their worst shortcomings and complete what they started within six months, the four friends embark on their most mature chapter yet. While Anjana tries to find a future that doesn't require her to compromise her identity, Damini juggles her professional aspirations with her vulnerability, Umang looks for emotional stability beyond flings with love, and Siddhi keeps on the path to healing and self-acceptance. The women face their past failures and tough life choices in the series finale, which includes a mix of improved travel aspirations, messy breakups, and the series' trademark sisterhood. In the end, they celebrate their unshakeable relationship while bidding a melancholy goodbye to the rulebook of perfection.
Watching the third season of Four More Shots Please! was quite painful for me, with the plot going nowhere and having characters repeating the same mistakes to show them that they are humans after all. Now, the final season is upon us, and of course, it means let's clean up the mess once and for all and give closure the show has been undoubtedly needing since the last season. Over the past nearly eight years, the Prime Video series has been going against the tide, and with the end of every season, it hinted that this is it! But there are always new characters entering the lives of the already-turmoiled lead characters – Damini (Sayani Gupta), Anjana (Kirti Kulhari), Umang (Bani J), and Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo).
This time, we see in the beginning of the season itself Siddhi finally walking down the aisle with having her best friends by her side. She, of course, gets cold feet, but with her friends by her side, she takes the plunge and marries Mihir (Rajeev Siddhartha). This time, all we see are the girls hanging out like on a daily basis; as usual, the topic of discussion has remained constant, but the companies have changed. This time, the girls are bar hopping because Jeh's (Prateik) bar, their hangout spot, has been bulldozed by the authorities. He leaves Mumbai for good after knowing that Damini has not been loyal to him for a very long time.
So let's dive into what's happening in the four women's lives right now. Damini decides to have her own podcast, and her brother Ashokaditya (Kunaal Roy Kapur) comes down from Delhi to be a menace in her life but also to help her out. On the other hand, Anjana jumps back into work at a coworking space, and her life is disrupted by another handsome distraction – Rohan (Dino Morea), whose office is next to hers.
Self-doubt persists as Umang resumes her dating life, preventing her from reconciling with her past. On the other hand, Siddhi is in her marital bliss with Mihir, but there's no spice left even if it's just the beginning of their lives together.
Arunima Sharma and Neha Parti Matiyani are helming the show this time. The creators decide to introduce some freshness to the story, but to be honest, the focus remains on bringing everything together to reach a conclusion. When the show begins, you feel that the seven episodes might just not give us an impending climax. Despite this, it takes us through a journey where the characters seem to have grown, and rightly so. But it definitely doesn't come about until the penultimate episode.
We see Siddhi getting back as a stand-up comedian, but she only gets her groove back when she cracks jokes about her marriage. We wish to see that she has become less spoilt, but there's so much unseriousness about her that it becomes borderline annoying, similar to how her husband feels.
On the other hand, this time, it's mostly Anjana having the most sorted story arc, and to be honest, that's quite refreshing to watch. The series has been jarring when it comes to the fact that all four characters are emotionally wrecked at the same time.
The girls have previously travelled around the world, and this time they also venture to Bangkok for a wild weekend; however, this trip does not add anything intriguing to the story arc. The show only becomes convoluted when Kunaal's character, Ash, and Siddhi team up to become an internet couple, which is intended to help her establish a steady career beyond being a stand-up comedian.
Indeed, the series attempts to blur the lines between fiction and reality, creating a bizarre atmosphere. Even while doing so, this subplot seems unimportant to the overall plot and serves merely as filler to create conflicts that can eventually lead to a satisfying resolution.
Having watched the final season, yes, it does give a satisfactory ending, but it was all so rushed that it felt slightly anticlimactic, so to speak.
What's Four More Shots Please! Season 4 without talking about sex and also showing it? However, it's shown as a huge responsibility of the show to further explore this topic, which it has been thriving on since the beginning. Even Sex and the City in the beginning, made it more about sex but eventually showed character growth for each woman, even if it was problematic and filled with mistakes. But, here, sex is a never-ending topic, and literally so.
All I can say is, thank God, it's over; unfortunately, it took so long and overstayed its welcome by a bit too much!
In its final round, Four More Shots Please! serves a cocktail that is equal parts refreshing and watered down. The show continues to pour on its trademark "boldness," yet the repetitive subplots suggest it was merely stirring the same old drama.
Four More Shots Please! Season 4 is now streaming on Prime Video (subscribers of OTTplay Premium will also be able to watch the show with a top-up).
