Meesha Review - Emcy Joseph's latest directorial is not your typical tale of a bromance that glorifies friendship or makes a mass appeal to masculinity through scenes of violence. Rather, it primarily depicts the murky and fluctuating nature of friendship. The way this film incorporates political powerplay and the conflicts of specific social classes for employment, inequality, and improved living conditions sets it distinctive from other Malayalam films that also focus on male ego.

Following a few years of separation, forest warden Midhun makes a call to his close friends Anandhu and Imodh to join him for a feast. Since their connection had been affected by several unintentional and regrettable circumstances, these pals are alarmed by this sudden invitation. With their own targets in mind, they comply with Midhun's plan. All of their lives are irrevocably changed by the revelations and candid discussions that take place during this feast, which causes them to reflect on how they perceive friendship and trust. A group of people who were assigned to bring in hunted meat of a deer for Midhun's get together, meantime, end up in crisis in the forest.

Meesha's exploration of friendship and how it suffers when ambition and jealousy take centre stage is its most significant aspect. In addition to exploring these facets, the movie goes to look at the ways in which political power dynamics impact various social groups, which gives the story further intricacy. Incorporating Shine Tom Chacko's character Kitho's plotline and giving him a distinct character graph that shifts as he goes farther into the forest are also the good aspects of the film.

With their best efforts, Kathir and Hakim Shahjahan's performances seem ideal for the story. Given how well he inhabits the role, this film undoubtedly marks the Tamil actor's remarkable Malayalam debut. Hakim portrays Anandhu convincingly, capturing the character's emotional highs and lows with precision. The other notable performers in this film are Shine Tom Chacko and Sudhi Koppa. With Suresh Rajan capturing some remarkable shots in the jungle, Sooraj S Kurup's music also has a significant impact on the story. The movie does, however, have the flaw of a minor lag along with the narrative's serious undertone.

Meesha Verdict - The action thriller, which is set in a forest, is a compelling flick that explores friendship and the urge to give up the ones you value about the most in order to pursue your goals.
