Sahasam Review - Nothing less than a clever comedy of errors, Bibin Krishna's most recent film brings to mind classic Priyadarshan films like Vettam. Even if the film's plot isn't very novel, it is noteworthy for the way the director skilfully combined a variety of occurrences and well-developed characters to create laughter out of chaos.
Jeevan and Sera, a young couple who are at the centre of the story, are incredibly in love and want to get married. Sera's unruly family prepare to get her married to Rony, and the two make several unsuccessful attempts to elope. When a criminal known as "Wolf" moves in with Jeevan and his pals, chaos breaks out. A group of police officers, led by Rajiv Nambiar, who is suspicious of his wife, also unexpectedly joins the group. The film addresses all of their issues as well as the question of whether Jeevan and Sera will be able to live together.
Instead of presenting a straightforward slapstick comedy, the creators efficiently bring together three groups of people from various walks of life in one setting to find solutions to their concerns. Sahasam's comical moments are undoubtedly its most appealing feature; they keep viewers keen in a light-hearted way without having too many characters or intricate stories. Bibin Ashok's music plays a pivotal role in the film, adding the right mood for the movie. The revival of the soundtrack 'Oru Muthum Thedi' from the 1999 movie, Independence, is commendable.
Additionally, performances are impressive, particularly those of Babu Antony as Wolf, Gouri G. Kishan as Sera, Ramzan as Jeevan, and Narain as Rajiv Nambiar. The remainder of the cast, however, never stops captivating the audience with their eccentric performances and demeanours. Aju Varghese and Krishna, two actors who play small parts in the movie, are also noteworthy. Though the first half might not intrigue initially, the film gradually picks up pace as it goes along. The film's appropriate tone is established in part by Alby's cinematography.
Sahasam Verdict - The humorous performances and story that emerges from turmoil make the entertainer a one-time watch.
