The ceremony saw legends like Brian Lara and B.S. Chandrasekhar receiving lifetime achievement awards, while contemporary stars like Rohit Sharma and Sanju Samson picked up prestigious accolades. Lara and Chandrasekhar win the Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed upon two cricketing greats, Brian Lara and B.S. Chandrasekhar.

Lara, the former West Indies captain renowned for his elegant stroke play and record-breaking innings remains one of the most celebrated batsmen in cricket history. He is one of the very few batters who scored 10000+ runs in both ODI and test formats.

Lara finished his career with 11,953 test runs and 10,405 ODI runs.

Chandrasekhar, one of India’s legendary spin bowlers, earned acclaim for his unique bowling style and match-winning spells during his heyday. The leg spinner from Karnataka took 242 test wickets in just 58 test matches. He also played a lone ODI for India, taking three wickets in that match.

He finished his career with 1063 first-class wickets.

Rohit Sharma honoured with a special award

Rohit Sharma, former India captain, was honoured with a special memento for winning the ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit led India to Champions Trophy success, which happened to be his last assignment as the ODI captain of India.

Root wins International Cricketer of the Year Award

The International Cricketer of the Year award was given to Joe Root, the former England captain, who has been one of the best test batters in the last few years. In the 2024-25 season, Root scored 570 test runs in just 6 test matches at an average of 57.00.

In the current year, Root has scored 571 runs in 10 innings at an average of 63.44.
