The Gujarat Giants have suffered defeats against all participating teams in the tournament, including the Royal Challengers Bangalore, whom they are set to face again but at a different venue.
Under the captaincy of Beth Mooney, the Giants have yet to secure a single win this season. Currently positioned at the bottom of the points table, the Giants must win all their remaining three matches with a high margin even to consider reaching the playoffs. None of the Giants' batters, including Beth Mooney, Phoebe Litchfield, or Ashleigh Gardner, have made a significant impact. As for the bowlers, except Tanuja Kanwar, none have been able to deliver crucial breakthroughs. Indian fast bowler Meghna Singh, who claimed five wickets, saw all come against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in her most recent outing.

As for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, they currently occupy the second spot with three wins. Captain Smriti Mandhana has been leading her side from the front and also tops the run-scoring charts with 219 runs. Her teammate Sabbhineni Meghana is also in fine form, having scored 164 runs. Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh have also contributed over 100 runs each, providing timely boosts for the team. In terms of bowling, Asha Sobhana, Sophie Molineux, and Sophie Devine have had decent outings, emerging as the team's leading wicket-takers.
The Arun Jaitley Stadium features a cricket pitch that notably favours batters, thanks to its fast outfield. Additionally, as the match advances, the dry pitch conditions provide an advantage to spin bowlers. Hence, the team winning the toss might opt to bat first at this venue.
