When the match started, Alishan Sharafu showed some class act with the bat, hitting ten runs in the first over against Hardik Pandya. He even took on Axar Patel in the third over as well. UAE were in a solid position before Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Sharafu on 22 runs. He had hit three boundaries and one six. But a yorker from Bumrah was enough to dismiss him and send him back to the pavilion.
After his wicket, Muhammad Zohaib was dismissed by Varun Chakaravarthy in the next over. While it was a perfect time for them to form partnerships, the players couldnt handle the pressure situation well. Moreover, the lack of understanding of the deliveries was also a reason behind their dismissals. In the powerplays, they were 41-2.
